Hey fam!

All is well as always haha We are doing great here. Hermana Gardiner is the sweetest. She is super cute and loves to laugh at my dumb jokes so we get along great haha. The funniest thing happened yesterday in church. One of the families that we are teaching came to church and they brought their dog hahahaha we had no clue what to do. We invited her to tie it up outside but she insisted on keeping it with her so I just looked at Hermana Gardiner and laughed but luckily she got their a little late so it was just on the classes and not the sacrament meeting. Its just funny because the same family got to church late last week as well and they were just knocking on the door during the sacrament because here they close the door when they pass the sacrament. They are such a quirky funny family. Weve got a lot of explainning to do haha

I love you all tons and hope you have a good week!!

Hey fam!!

This week has been great but kind of sad. There are just so many sweet families going through such hard times but mytestimony of the atonement has grown. Its amazing how strong the healing power of the atonement really is. We have seen lots of miracles and we had lots of new less actives in church! We also found a new investigator that looks like Aunt Jemema from the syrup bottle haha she is a cute and sassy little old ladyand I love her to death.
I got permission today to go visit Jennifer in Conocoto she was the first investigator that got baptized in my mission a year ago. It was so fun to see her! Here are some pics of a few family home evenings that we had this week and the cute old people are the famous grandparents Perez. They are members for about 50 years and he was one of the first bishops here in Ecuador because the churchonly has 51 years here. Its amazing how much has happened in short little time!

I love you all and hope youhave a great week!

Hey fam bam!

All is well here is paradise:) We had a ton to do this week! We had divisions and studies basically every day! We are seeing lots of miracles here and I feel so blessed to be Hermana Gardiners coomp. She is the sweetest! I had the worlds worst alergic reactions to some vitamen C pills and I broke out in hives all over my body and she had to rub stuff on my back every night ahahah she is a champ!

On sunday it was the best thing ever! We were ableto reactivate a less active family a few weeks ago and the dad had been less active since he was 8 so he had never blessed the sacrament so he was ordained a priest last week and was able to bless the sacrament for the first time in his life and he is 28. It was the sweetest thing ever! I love the gospel and I love you all as well! Have a great week!!

Hey family!
This week was great! I sure love you all tons and Hope you are enjoying life. We are finding lots of less actives and lots that are going to progress! We are excited! I still love this work with all of my heart and Im sorry but Im never coming home. Im going to run away to a place called Taisha in the jungle part of Ecuador to live like Tarzan so they dont make me go home:)
Emarrassing moment of the week... It started to rain and we took out my umbrella and everything was going great but we left it outside to dry off while we ate lunch at a memebers house and when we went outside we say that there was brown stuff all over my umbrella and we thought that is was dog poop or something but it didnt smell like it so I looked in my bad to see if it came from there and sure enough there was a rotten banana from like a week and a half ago that a different memeber gave us that I forgot to take out hahahaha the memeber just looked at me and died laughing because it was the grossest banana I have ever seen. It was completely black and everything was squished out.

I love you all tons!!! Have a great week!

Dear fam bam!

This week was great! We are finding some new families to teach! We also had a conference like every day! We had leadership cousel, zone conference and mini conference. Hermana Gardiner and I are pretty much pros at giving capacitaciones. We have given like 4 in the past 2 weeks. All is well here in paradise! I dont have a lot of time to write but thats nothing new! haha I love you all tons!!

Embarressing moment of the week: So I let Hermana Peralta wear one of my slips and she finished her mission so she left it in the offices for me and I wore my white skirt to the zone conference. Long story short I forgot to put on a slip and you could totally see right through my skirt. SO the mission nurses came like an hour before the conference was finished and they gave me a little bag and it just so happened to be my slip! I was so happy! Nurses save lives my dear fam!

I hope you all have a good week!!!

July 4

Well we had emergency transfers today and im in El Valle de los Chillos again in a sector called San Rafael! Its about 10 minutes away from where I started my mission in Conocoto! Im in a trio! Its a triple threat! Im going to be an Hermana Leader now which will be a little interesting but my comps are from Bolivia and Chile. Hermana Peralta was my hermana leader for like 6 months of my mission and now is my comp so thats kind of fun! Hermana Maldonado is great but I dont really know her haha but next week Ill know more!
Im sad to leave Ambato! My poor daughter was super sad but she is going to do great things! We have an investigator is Ambato that is going to be baptized on saturday but im not going to be able to be there so thats super sad but the most important is that he can make a covenent with our heavenly father. We had a lesson that was super special with him this week. He was a little unsure if he had recieved an answer or no but when we finished that lesson he prayed and we all left in tears because the spirit was so strong and he was super happy and excited to be baptized. He announced his own baptism at church in the class of gospel priniples and everything. He is so great!!

Happy 4th of July!! I love you all tons! Hope you have an amazing week!

June 27

Dear fam,
This week was great! It has been a week full of happy tears and lots of success. Every night this week when we have gotten home we struggle to stay awake when we are plaaning because we are workingour little booties off.  We finally have investigators attending church and LOTS OF LESS ACTIVES!!! We are working with 13 less active families. I feel like my calling in life is to work with less actives haha my whole mission we have had to focus lots more on them.
We found a less active and her son this week and she hated everyone and everything about the church but we had a lesson super spiritual with her and she told us that we could keep soming back for her son but she still doesnt want anything to do with the church but when we went back she was there alone and she told us that she had been praying to see if she is in the wrong and she wants to start praying and reading the book of mormon again. MIRACLES EXIST my dear fam!
Here are some pics of a family that I love with my whole heart and their adorable little grandbaby. A little 2 year old stole my heart haha just look at that cute smile!
I Love you all tons and I hope you have a happyy 4th of July!!!

Lots of love,

June 20, 2016

We had transfers this week and I get to stay with my hija here in Ambato to finish her training! Whoo Hoo! So I know ill be here at least until august. This week was super busy and we are working hard to find new people to teach. We have some really great less actives that are progressing super well! Our investigators all went out of town for fathers day but we are going to have to forgive them and keep working haha. I had to talk in church yesterday and it went well haha we have to talk in church alot because they always ask us to talk about missionary work every 3rd sunday. The bishop told me to be nice on the ward because there was missionaries before that were really harsh when they gave talks. I shared a few stories about how I was scared to talk to people and share the gospel before and everyone was in tears from laughing so hard haha the bishop was happy.

I hope you all had a great week! I love you all tons!!
dont lose opportunities to share the gospel!
Here are some pics of the zone and some food from venezuela. We have a less active from venezuela and he cooks super good!

Hey fam bam!

all is well here in paradise!

This week was great! We had an investigator at church and lots of less actives. We are finding some people that are going to progress and had lots of amazing miracles. We have ben contacting like crazy and we contacted a woman that was walking alone and she told us that she didnt want to listen to us but that she had somebody else that needs us. She took us to her house and we taught her son and her husband and we are going to keep working with their little family. The husband is a little hard headed but thats something that the spirit can change. Something that I have learned in the mission is that is doesnt matter how stubborn or tough someone is, when the spirit gets ahold of them they cant deny it.

I was a little discouraged in the passed weeks because we didnt have anybody progressing but I was looking at our weekly planning and we have double the names in ever part than what we started with in week 1 and 2. I know our work hasnt been in vain and that the next tranfer we are going to see lots of miracles and the fruits of our labors!

In one of our lessons that we had this week we were talking about the plan of salvations and explaining about adam and eve and we were talking about how they were innocent like little children and right at that moment the little nephew came running arround the corner with a play gun and shot us all. We all started laughing and the cute little family told us that they are never going to forget that lesson and the important part that adam and eve had in the plan of salvation.

Also in this week we have been working lots in helping my dear companion feel more comfortable and we have been saying "we fear no man" every day haha we were doing it as a joke at first but now its something that we say a lot and it helps us to forget about ourselves and just work, talk, teach, invite, and everything else that we do every day. My companion is super shy (like me bahahahahaha)

I love you tons!! !! I hope you are all doing great!!

We had a ward family home evening and I lost in the game that we played and I had to dance in front of everyone like a monkey, jump like a rabbit, and act like a dog and a cat haha everyone was crying from laughing so hard. i think its safe to say that Im not as shy as I used to be haha life is good here in Ambato. We are getting to know tons of people and looking for some new investigators! Hermana Gutierrez is the best and laughs at all my jokes so we get along just great haha!

May 23, 2016

Well this week was good! My cute little daughter is so great. She is the greatest. I am learning so much from her. She has so much faith and is always serving everyone! I want to be more like her haha I love her to death! We are fiding lots of new inverstigators but only one came to church. When we got here there was one inverstigator that they were teaching about a month ago but we are finding lots. The ward here is great and the leaders are helping us lots to find new less actives.

Sunday in church there was a convert that was telling us the story of his conversion and he is an ex military guy and as he explained it they trained him to be a "war machine" but he talked about how the gospel has changed him so much and how he never is going to let himself change back to who he was before. His story was a little funny but the spirit was strong. I love talking to the new converts because they dont know a whole lot still but their testimonies are so strong! Its the greatest.

I hope you are all loving life!!
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

SHe has a heart of gold and is super willing to work and learn new things. She is super diligent and loves everybody and everything haha our sector is huge. April 25, 2016

Hey fam! :)

We are still alive and kicking here in Puyo! Nobody from our mission has been able to go to the coast to help with the earthquake because the conditions are critical still and they are only letting military people and rescue teams in.
Everything is going good though. We have a few families that have lost loved ones and family memebers that live in the coast but we just gotta keep teaching the plan of salvation! We had divisions this week and The hermana Leaders made me pancakes for breakfast for my birthday haha thay are the cutest.
We also has the saddest little service ever. We passed by to visit an investigador and she was drunk and sleeping but her son came to the door and told us everything so we turned around to leave and right when we were about to step off of the side walk there was a dead cat. The little boy saw it too and he just started crying and crying and we cant hug him or anything so we just stood there staring at him until he stopped crying and after we helped him burry his little cat. We even made a little headstone for him. Poor little boy and the worst part was that his mom was drunk and wasnt going to help him.
In the sacrament meeting this week the young men were in charge of everything and gave the talks and everything. I think it was the funniest sacrament meeting of my life. There was one guy that had to talk about respecting women and he told us all that men need women to help them and support them to make good choices and lots of stuff. Right after he was explaining that women need men too but he couldnt think of a good reason so after a few minutes of silence he recieved the revelation that women need men to reproduce. Im pretty sure there wasnt a dry eye in the room because we were all laughing so hard. Oh the joys of the woung men and their wisdom!

I hope you are all doing good! I love you all lots!!

PS The elders had to bake the cake because we dont have an oven in our house but surprisingly it turned out good! haha

April 18, 2016

Hey fam bam!:)
Well Im sure you have all heard about the Earthquake by now but everything here in Puyo is great. We are like 7 hours away from where it hit hard. We felt the earthquake here too but it didnt do anything and all of the buildings here are still in tact. My heart hurts for all of the dear families that cant say the same but all we can do is pray lots!! They dont tell us a whol lot and we arent allowed to watch the news so you probably know more than I do haha!
This week was good though we had interviews with President Christensen and I seriously love that man and my dear momma in the mission aka Hermana Christensen. They are the great and I hope one day you can all get to meet them to know what I am talking about!!
One thing that he told us is that the only difference between Christ and Satan is that Christ smiles. Think about that for a minute! All we can do in those hard times is keep on smiling and working hard becasue its what our dear Savior would do. We know that have already won this war we just have to help others know that too so they can have a little hope. I love you all lots and I hope you are all doing great.
Lots and Lots of LOVE!!!

PS We got to play with monkeys today again!
PSS I got my Birthday packages! thanks mom and thanks dad!

April 11, 2016

Hey my dearest fam!

My birthday was good haha dont you all worry. There was lots of people willing to give us all of my favorite foods and thats the reason im getting super chubby haha but its all good. This week was good. It was full of lots of miracles and blessings. We are working hard and seeing results. We have a less active that isnt married and before she wasnt reading or praying or asisting but this week she did all three. She told us that she was going through some hard things and she remembered that in the church they always say that if you just open up the Book of Mormon you can find the answer you are looking for. Im sure she was looking for somthing to comfort her but she said that she opened up to where it was talking about the final judgement and it was what she needed to hear. We all laughed about it but she said it really does work when you just open the book because God is going to tell you what you need to hear.
But there is always something funny that happens. So the funny momment of the week... We contacted a mom and daughter but it was already getting late so we contacted them super fast and we were right next to the busy road so I didnt hear her very well but she told us that she lived in the sector of the Elders so we passed the reference and I told the Elders that her name last name was Loca so they called her and asked for M. Loca and she was like M. Loja?? hahaha I think the Elders are never going to accept referenced from my again.
But all is well here in Puyo! Hermana Loayza is great and works her little heart out every day.
I love you all lots and hope you ate lots of cake for me!!:)

April 4, 2016

HEY FAMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!! Thank you for all of the birthday wishes!!
This week has been the best week of my life basically just because we are going to have a temple in Quito! That is the best birthday present I could have received. I was so stinkin excited. When President Monson announced the temple in Quito everyone in the room gasped and I think I was included in that haha I dont really remember because I was so happy and so excited!! I had chills from my head to my toes and I was smiling so big it hurt! haha I have never cried such happy tears in my whole life. Every single one of my converts and less actives and member from my sectors ran through my head and im just so grateful for every single one of them and for their desires to do good.
We also found some new people this week that are passing through some really hard times. I love how the gospel is so simple but yet it has a little something for every person that is sick, afflicted, suffering spiritually and emotionally. Hermana Loayza likes to work and we are being very dilligent. Our sector needs some miracles so we are being exactly obedient and working our hardest until the last minutes of the day. She is such a great companion and loves the mission work. And for all of the I love her haha . Im excited for this cambio and I know that we are going to see lots of new things happen here in Puyo. I just love these people with all of my heart!!
But I loved the conference. The spirit is always so strong. The gospel is so perfect and the church is so perfect. We have so many great leaders and they can always answer my questions.
 LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVE!!!!!!!

March 28, 2016

Hey fam bam!
This week was good! We had the opportunity to listen to the womens conference and it was so great!! I LOVED IT! We learned lots about service. I loved one part that said that everyone needs a spiritual and physical safe place (I dont know if that translates in english right haha). But I loved it. We should all help others to feel like that safe place is with us or in our homes.
The work was a little complicated in our sector becasue everyone here celebrates semana santa and they were all on vacation since wednesday basically but the Catholics do something really cool. On friday they have a little parade thing and all of the men walk through the street carrying crosses with little white loin cloths and one of Christ and everything. It puts everything in perspective were you see that. There was lots of people following behind them and it was super easy to imagine that on a friday like that one about 2000 years again Christ was doing the same thing for us.
We all know that with lots of celebrations means lots of food. We got to try maito de pollo and fenesca.
And of course I have more pics.
I LOVE YOU ALL LOTS AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED EASTER!!!!!!

PS We had cambios and Im still here in Puyo but Hermana Tello went back to Quito. Now my companion is Hermana Loayza now. She is from Peru too haha

My dearest fam,
I love you all to the moon and back! I am doing great! We are finding  lots of new less actives to teach and finding some investigators along the way. We are in Quito again and have to travel back to our sector in Puyo tonight. Hermana Tello has been a trooper this week. She had to get her wisdom tooth extracted and has chimpmunk cheeks and everything. The dentist let me assist him hahahahaha. Im pretty sure thats illegal but his assistant had to leave early and before we were talking about how I worked with a dentist before the mission so he let me assist him to finsih everything up hahaha. Can I put that on a resume that I assisted in Ecuador?? haha just kidding but Im doing great and loving Puyo. The little girl in the pic is my BFF everyone says that she is my mini me but I thinks thats just because she has greenish eyes haha

I hope you are all doing good and enjoying life!
Lots and lots of love!!!
